Turbes, a junior at the Westminster School in Atlanta, wowed the coaches, athletes and fans in attendance at Westminster's 2/21 home meet with 2 startling early season performances in the 1600 and 3200m races. Naima first blazed a 4:54.70 in the 1600m, following that a couple hours later with a swift 10:34 in the 3200m. Turbes was back on the track 20 minutes later running a split of around 1:00 in the 4x400 relay. The Gauntlet has been thrown down...(file photo)
