Finished 3rd in the Varsity Race at The Atlanta Classic with a 21:03 Team Average. Senior All-State runner and current #3 Sarah Foreman did rest. Sophomore Erin Fegans along with Seniors Mary Kellison Thorne went 1-2 and are poised to be in the front group at the State Meet. This team currently only has 6 runners but still the favorite to repeat as Single A Private Team Champions. The War Eagles are the three time defending State Champions in this division.

Won the JV Race @ The Atlanta Classic with a team Average of 24:15… Varsity team sat out this weekend. Seniors Bryn Foster (19:27), Grace Brock (20:26) and Saffy Bashey (20:37) all have improved this fall and along with Jackie Addy (18:22 season best) and super frosh Hayden Puett (19:28) up front this team could keep it close with Landmark at the State Meet. According to Coach Dunn Neugebauer this is the best XC team in their school history.
3
DNR this past weekend but they were 8th at the Asics/Alexander Invitational with a 20:19 Team Average. Providence continues to vault up the rankings and now are a top three team in Single A Private. They are led by the freshmen trio of Ayden Drake, Taylor Simmons and Jennifer Woollery. Woollery has top 10 potential at State. And based on her Asics time (19:02) she definitely has the potential to be the Top Freshmen at the State Meet. After a 15th place finish at the 2016 State Meet, this team most likely will be on the podium this November.
4
DNR this past weekend. However, Anna Marian Block had a strong race at the Furman Invite taking home the title in 19:23. The senior has established herself as at least the co-favorite to win the State Title on Friday November 3rd. Look for Senior Emily Elder to be in the top 7 at the State Meet. This team has the front runners to contend for a podium finish at State but currently lacks the depth to challenge for the State Title. They will race Providence and Wesleyan at the Area Meet next week so that will give us a clue for their State Meet chances.
5
14th at the Coach Wood Invite Varsity Race with a Team Average of 22:45. This squad finished runner-ups to Landmark this year and have had a 1-5 gap of 30 seconds this year (or less at some meets). While the lack the front runners of Athens Academy or Providence they may still sneak on the podium with their tremendous depth and pack running. Coach McDaniel always has his teams ready for the State Meet. Leading the way for the Wolves at Coach Wood were Senior Emma Surber (22:19) and Freshmen Caitlin Kelly (22:21).
6
DNR this past weekend but were 1st @ Asics/Alexander Invite (1A-4A race) with a team average of 21:55. Senior Caroline Keim (20:21) and Freshmen Sami Rickheim (20:24) give Fellowship a strong 1-2 as they hope to battle for podium honors in November. They still have a lot of work to make the podium but it is always nice to see new schools making a mark in this very competitive division. Favorites to win their Area Meet at Darlington next week.
7
DNR this past weekend but finished 5th @ Asics/Alexander Invite (1A-4A race) with a team average of 22:40. Mount Paran shoots up into the rankings for the first time this season as they beat both Galloway (previous #7) at the Asics Meet. Mount Paran is led by junior Abby Gardner (19:42) who won the 1A-4A race. They could challenge Fellowship for the Area Title and both teams could be sleeper picks for the podium in early November.
8
DNR this past weekend but was 6th @ Asics/Alexander Invite (1A-4A race) with a team average of 22:56. Galloway drops back a spot but still has the potential to be a Super 6 team in Carrollton later this fall. The Scots are led by Seniors Sami Krinsky (20:39) and Melinda Hartz (21:31). Coach Beatty always has his teams ready for the end of the year.
9
Paideia School: DNR this past weekend but any team with Senior Sophia West (18:04 at Asics and potential State Champion) can be a threat for the Elite 8 at the State Meet. Paideia also has one of the top freshmen in Jordan Walter (19:50 winning the 9th/10th grade race at Asics). This school has peaked very well this decade at the Region/Area meet. West and Walter up front may make the difference if they advance out of the competitive Area 3 on the Georgia Meet of Champions course next Thursday (26th).
10
12th place at the Sharptop Invite with a Team Average of 23:04. This team is led by Emily Raeside- one of the top freshmen in Single A Private. Mount Vernon will battle Galloway and Paideia to qualify for State in the uber-competitive Area 3 Meet at Heritage Christian Church.

Alot of movement from 3-10. After Asics, as promised we do have a watch list now of teams that could be in the Top 10 at State. Darlington and Savannah Christian Prep top this list. The Area Meets will give us more info and next week we will reveal the 15-20 runners that have a chance to earn All-State honors Friday November 3rd.
