Freshman Boys of the Week

Michael Patterson of South Forsyth HS turned in an excellent 14th place finish at the Bob Blastow Invitaional clocking a 16:35 to earn 'Frosh of the Week' honors for Week 2. Michael had an excellent MS career running for Great Strides (coached by his father Greg Patterson) and it has translated to HS.

Jack Voss of St. Pius X had a solid performance at the Saucony Battle of Atlanta placing 35th with a time of 17:26 helping the Golden Lions to 4th place. Jack had some success in MS running for Holy Spirit Prepatory, posting a 11:07 3200m at the 2015 State Track meet.

Freshman Girls of the Week

No one should be surprised how quickly Nyah Hernandez has made the transistion to HS competition. Nyah placed 2nd overall at the Bob Blastow meet posting a 18:38. She was a multiple State Champ in MS (XC & Track) and turned in a 18:54 at Foot Locker South as an 8th grader.

Haley Rose of Decatur, 5th place at Saucony Battle of Atlanta.

The last name Fegans should sound familiar to runners, as Erin is the younger sister of Nicole Fegans. She has had an immediate impact for Landmark Christian's Girls, placing 14th at the Saucony Battle of Atlanta going 20:20 helping the Eagles to the team title over Marist. Erin ran for Chapel Hill MS last year, where she swept the 1600/3200 titles at Douglas County meet and placed 6th at the Middle School State XC meet down in Bleckley County.
