Commerce Rises Up and Wallops A Public

Commerce rolled up 99 points in winning the A Public Track and Field Championship. Jay Acker was once again a key cog during Finals as he raced to 800m Gold and anchored the Tigers' 4x400 squad to a swift 3:24 (for A Public). Jay also won the 1600m title Thursday and took Silver in the PV winning the High Point Award. Also scoring Saturday were Tretrez Barkwell in the short sprints placing 4th in the 100m and 5th in the 200, Lane Sorrow won a Bronze medal in the 300h, Jalen Walton took 5th in the 110h and the 4x100 squad got their day off to a good start winning Bronze.

Acker anchored Commerce to a great time of 3:24.99 in the 4x400.

Malik Lender anchored Montgomery County's winning 4x100 squad.

Clayton Harvey from Montgomery County just realizes he won a Gold in the 400m.

Ziaire Andrews from Irwin County long strided it to 100m Gold going 10.75.

Turner's Jatavion Boone was unchallenged taking 110h Gold at 14.94.

Javonta Wilcox from Telfair County got some payback winning the 200 at 22.27.

Blake Mathis from Terrell County defended his 300h crown clocking a 39.59.
