Boys 3A Georgia Olympics Preview

Defending champ Cedar Grove has come back this seaon even stronger and could throwup 100 points and lap the field if they perform as they did in Sectionals 2 weeks ago. The Saints are led by Israel Spivey and Andre Burrell in the sprints, Johnny Thomas could go BIG in the Throws, along with Discus specialist Elijah Bandy (161-4), Jadon Haselwood in both hurdles events, Jessie Reverio in the 300h and their top ranked relay squads.

The competition will be intense for the next 3 team positions between Blessed Trinity led by Bailey Durham in the hurdles, Ben McKoy Robby Gipson and Brennan O'Connor in the distance events. Peach County should be hanging around led by Kearus Jackson in the throws and 100m, Kyle and Kevin Nixon, Elelil Walton, Dean Brown and their relay squads. Central HS has 2 athletes that may win 3-4 Golds including Tyler Terry in the sprints/LJ and vaulter Mitt Conerly. On the outside looking to manufacture maximum points to contend for a spot may be Elbert County led by Mecole Hardeman H-jumps & 100m, Tattnall County, East Jackson led by the Kennedy twins 1600/3200 and host Jefferson who always seems to do well at Georgia Olympics.
