Coaches Clinic Social and GATFXCCA Annual Meeting on January 22

Atlanta Track Club invites all Georgia coaches to join us Friday, January 22 to kick off the 2016 Coaches Clinic with a coaches social and the GATFXCCA annual meeting.  The meeting will start at 5:00 p.m. and the social will follow from 6:15-8:30 p.m.  Food and beverages will be provided to all in attendance.

Bill Sheskey will serve as guest speaker for the evening.  Sheskey is a founding member of the original Georgia Coaches Association, former coach at Walton and Pope High Schools, and creator of GATFXC.com.  He was awarded a President's Service Award in 1998 by the USA Track and Field Association, and was inducted into the Georgia High School Track Hall of Fame in 2008. In high school, Bill was the 1974 Massachusetts All State Champion in 880 yard run with a time of 1:53.8. He went on to compete for Penn State University and was a four-year letter winner in track,   setting a personal best of 1:51.1 at 800m. Today the annual Atlanta Track Club High School Male Runner of the Year award is named in his honor.

We are excited to have Bill speak about the history of the Coaches Association, his experience as a successful coach in the state of Georgia, and the use of modern technology in the sport of track and field.
