"High school cross country runners are the best, most committed athletes across all sports. We are pleased to recognize them for the 53rd straight year, and proud to announce that now the public can join coaches and parents to decide who should receive top honors in the state of Georgia," said Rich Kenah, Atlanta Track Club's executive director.

The 42 All-Metro athletes were selected based on criteria including major meet wins, performance at the state meet, and a complete season overview. This years state meet condiditions and course alterations were factored into the selection process. The names and bios of these athletes are posted at atlantatrackclub.org. Coaches and the community can go online from November 10 through 18 and rank the selected athletes among the three teams. The male and female athlete ranked number one will be named Most Outstanding Cross Country Athlete.

Each of the All-Metro athletes will be recognized for their extraordinary seasons at the All-Metro Banquet, and 1st Team All-Metro honorees will receive a $500 scholarship from Atlanta Track Club. The 2015 All-Metro High School Cross Country Banquet will be held at Atlanta Track Club and The Stave Room in Midtown Atlanta on December 2. The student athletes who have been named Most Outstanding Cross Country Athlete will be announced at the banquet as well as the winners of the Coach's Dedication Awards. Nomination information for the Coach's Dedication Awards can be found at atlantatrackclub.org. Nominations must be submitted by November 18.
