Girls Distance

Travelling all the way from Virginia, Freshman Weini Kelati beat out the rest of the competition in Friday's 3200m run. Kelati's 10:49.10 3200m moves her up to US #7, making her the second youngest athlete in the top 10 for the girls 3200m run.


Junior Julia Wood runs 5:08.52 in the girls 1600m run for the win over Marvin Ridge's Lexi King.


With a huge PR, Senior Julia Brown of Cary wins the girls 1000m run with 3:00.46.


Boys Distance


Junior Andrew Hunter ran 8:59.67 in the boys 3200m, becoming the new US #1!


Wakefield's Tre Brooks runs 4:29.61 in the 1600m run for the win. Nick Ciaccia (R.J. Reynolds) nearly stole the win from the second-fastest heat!



Elijah Inuwa, a senior from Central Academy, runs 2:29.45 to win the boys 1000m run. Inuwa becomes US #15 with this performance.


Girls Sprints & Hurdles

In the Girls 500m run, Senior Tia Robinson of Wakefield cruised past the competition to won by almost 2 seconds. Robinson ran 1:16.56, and is currently ranked US #9 with a previous performance of 1:16.00.


Senior Ariel Davis of Platinum Sports came out of 55mH prelims seeded 2nd, but finished the day in first. Davis beat out Parkland's Ebony Williams with a time of 7.90 to win the 55mH. This time moves Davis up to US #4 in the hurdles.


Junior Anna Cockrell wins the girls 55m dash with 7.12. Cockrell will move up a few spots in the national rankings with this 0.02 second improvement from her previous season best.


Senior Courtney Warner of C. B. Aycock runs 40.53 to win the girls 300m dash.


Boys Sprints & Hurdles

Senior Emmanuel Jackson of Sanderson won the boys 55mH with a time of 7.44. Jackson is currently ranked as US #4 with a 7.38 performance earlier this season.



Fuquay-Varina Senior TJ Bleichner narrowly beat out the competition in the boys 500m run. Bleichner ran 1:06.04 in the 500m for a new US #13.


Senior Ryan Clark runs 6.27 to win the 55m dash finals. Clark is currently ranked as US #1 with a 6.25 performance from earlier in the season.


Clark followed that up with a US #5 in the 300m dash with a time of 33.85.


Girls Field Events

Anna Eaton of Apex wins the girls pole vault with 13-00.00. Anna will move up in the national rankings to around US #10.


Junior Brittany Small of East Rowan jumps 5-04 to win the girls high jump.


Cambria Shuford (Statesville), competing unattached, won the long jump with a mark of 17' 8.25".


Mikaela Siebert (Cuthbertson), also competing unattached, returned to the land of 38-foot jumps and took the win in the process.


Boys Field Events

Senior Christopher Garrick of Marvin Ridge jumps 6-10.00 to win the boys high jump. Garrick is currently ranked US #3 with the same performance.


Marcus Krah of Hillside jumps 23-05.75, a new US #5.


Tristian Shaver clears 16-00 in the pole vault for the win, tying for US #13 this winter.


Marcus Abraham (Victory Christian) won with a throw of 55' 7.25", just a touch off of his season best.


Asheville Mekhi McGuyver took the triple jump with a finals attempt of 48' 2.75", which is US #7.


Girls Relays

The Leesville Road girls 4x800m relay became the new US #5 this Friday with a time of 9:18.70. Leesville's relay team included Juniors Taylor Hemming, Sydney Winchel, G'Jasmyne Butler, and Sophomore Nevada Mareno.


The Parkland girls 4x200m relay found itself in first place again this weekend. Parkland ran 1:39.40, a new US #3. Parkland's all-star team included Junior McKinley McNeill, and Seniors Katlin Sherman, Miaysha Bryant, and Ebony Williams.


Parkland was denied the double relay win, though, as Wakefield won in 3:59 over a hard-closing Cary team.


Boys Relays

Lake Norman boys 4x800m relay took home first place with a time of 8:10.51. Lake Norman's team includes Seniors Wyatt Fedorka, Wes Anderson, Ty Sauerbrey, and Junior Cody Maynard.


The 2fast2strong 4x200m team (Phoebus, VA) ran 1:31.02 for the win at the David Oliver Classic.


Southeast Raleigh ran 3:24.98 in the 4x400, just missing the top 25 in the country.
