Matt Henson - Head Track & Field Coach Parkview High School, Dwight Phillips - 4x World Champion & Olympic Gold Medalist, Tomy Sitton - Head Track & Cross Country Coach East Jackson High School as well as GA Track & Field Clinic mastermind, Hazel Clark - 7x National Champion & 3x Olympian, Reese Hoffa - World Champion & Olympic Bronze Medalist. Philips, Clark, and Hoffa are members of the Dr. Josh Glass Project, aka Georgia Track Club..
The newly reformed GATFXCCA elected Officers including Matt Henson as President, Sheldon Pierce from Appling County as Vice President, Travis Gower of Walton HS is Secretary and Cathi Monk from Pope HS is Treasurer. Also the new 'Consititution' was seconded, unanimously approved. 79 Coaches were in attendance for the 1st Annual meeting. Many Coaches were recognized for 30+ years of coaching service.
Chris Carter & Joe Carter shared experiences, knowledge, & wisdom pertaining to recovery and general training of distance runners.
