Atlanta, GA, May 12, 2014 — The American Track League is headed to Atlanta as it’s third stop of an eight meet series stretching from May through August. The meet in Atlanta will be held on May 16th at 7:00pm at Greater Atlanta Christian School,1575 Indian Trail Lilburn Rd, Norcross, GA 30093. Admission to the meet is free of charge. The meet will feature Olympians Lolo Jones and Queen Harrison in an exciting race to the finish in the Women’s 100m hurdles. Many other World Class athletes will be in attendance including Jason Richardson the World Champion in the 110m hurdles and Atlanta native and 3-Time Olympic Medalist DeeDee Trotter who will contest the 300m. In addition to the elite athletes on the field, entertainment throughout the meet will be provided by breakthrough musical group, the Velveteen Playboys and the ATL Dance Team.

The American Track League is a unique format track meet designed for fan interaction and entertainment. Prior to the start of the meet, spectators are invited to “test their speed” in an open NFL Combine style 40 yard dash timing. The meet will begin with the field events, where spectators are invited down onto the infield to get an up close and intimate experience. Athletes will also be available for autographs and pictures following their events.

The ATL has already hosted meets in Bloomington, IN and Charlottesville, VA this year and will head to Austin and Houston, Texas after Atlanta.
