Nike Panther Relays Meet Summary
Some of the top highlights from the Girls meet were the 100 Meter Dash as 6 girls set National Elite times including McEachern's MaKenzie Dunmore as she dominated the finals round with a 12.00 Ashlan Rosier of Lakeside Evans lept 18-10.75 winning the LJ and Noelle Parker from Whitewater went deep in the Shot with a winning put of 46-3.50 putting her on top of the All-Class Rankings list.
On the boys side Stephen Martinez from St.Pius X and AAA rival Quintin Miles of North Hall dueled it out in the 3200 meters with martinez taking the win by a second in 9:38. Daniel Haugh of Pius doubled in the throws event including another sick toss in the Discus at 183-2! The horizontal jumps were electric as Marquis Barnes of Carrollton had a mark of 22-11.25 besting Malik Frankllin (22-9) and Pius' Fred Dorsey at 22-6.25. But Frankllin of Newton took the TJ posting a 46-10.25 besting Dayo Akindele (high point man at Loch Johnson) from Heritage at 46-5.25. The team winner Golden Lions also scorched the track in the 4x800 (8:03) and the DMR (10:24)
