Coach Pae\'s Blog from Footlocker Nationals

Coach Christie,

Here\'s the blog for the first day in parentheses.

Hello all,

I\'m still in awe that I\'m in San Diego for the Foot
Locker XC Championships. It\'s been a surreal season.
The ride over to San Diego is about 4 1/2 hours so
it\'s long and tiring. The FL runners that were on the
flight with me were told to constantly stretch our
their legs and not get so stiff. While I took a
separate plane, Girma and Ben\'s flight(s) hit snags as
they were delayed coming out of Chicago. Those two
had to be at the Atlanta Airport extremely early (4:30
AM) to catch their flights.

After arriving in San Diego, I went to the course at
Balboa Park. It is undulating with little solid
ground. You\'ve got road, dirt, gravel, and grass to
deal with on this course. There is one big hill that
keeps going and a big downhill close to the finish.
This will be fun to watch. The TV date has been
confirmed as December 21st on FSN. I believe our
local time is 3 PM. If you can\'t wait, the race will
be webcast on www.footlockercc.com.

I\'ve met with a few runners and coaches here at Foot
Locker and they\'ve all been extremely friendly and
nice. I spent part of my flight talking to Griff
Graves from VA. He\'s a well-mannered and nice person.
My assistant coach and I had a great conversation
with Ashley Higginson\'s father (runner from Colts
Neck, NJ - recently won NTN in Portland).

This 3-hour time change has affected me as it\'s 9 PM
and I can\'t keep my eyes open. Thanks for reading.
