Post Region AA Rankings

                                             Post Region AA Rankings

2A

This past Region week was the first time at the 6AA meet that the top ranked squads in the class rested their top 1-5 or more runners as Wesleyan and Westminster did. Not caring about a region title? Come on Man..Lovett ran great winning region, so it backfired somewhat..I guess. Bleckley is a strong 4th dominating Lamar County in 4AA. Rabun pulled a big upset defeating Jefferson at 8AA. 2AA St. Vincent's and 1AA Thomasville haven't ran against any top AA squads, State will sort that out. Coosa, Calhoun and Model were separated by 3 points in 7AA. And, region 3AA is a total mystery.

Westminster held serve at 6AA besting Wesleyan by 13 points, but the gap between these 2 squads is actually wider than the points reflect. 4AA Bleckley moves ahead of Lovett into 3rd. Not sure if Lovett was sandbagging a bit for this Saturday. Jefferson ran well at 8AA winning by 30+ points moving into 5th. It appeared the Murray County may have thrown/tempoed the 7AA meet, so they move back a spot down to 6th. Thomasville decimated 1AA at Kolomoki Mounds State Park. Riverside Military busted into the rankings for the first time this season as the Cadets had an inspiring race on their turf placing 2nd in 8AA. Benedictine won region 2AA and Calhoun stunned at 7AA beating Murray County.
