Westlake is going to be the team to beat in 6A with their many, very speedy, talented athletes, while Marietta and Mill Creek will seek to challenge the Lady Lions. 5A could be a battle royale between a balanced Dunwoody team and Kell, w/ NS Warner Robins, Miller Grove and MLK aiming to make the Podium. Marist will seek to sweep the 4A titles as their gals are strong across the board. Contenders in the mix should be defending Champ Redan and Alexander while a cast of squads will seek a Podium position including Sandy Creek, Westover, Shaw, Rutland, Howard, Fayette and hometown fave Monroe-Albany.
The small schools (1A-3A) should be no less competitive but Cedar Grove is an overwhelming favorite to take a State title in 3A. Frederick Douglass and Blessed Trinity have the potential to score alot of points and also vying to take home a Cup and get props could be St.Pius X, North Oconee, SE Bulloch and White County. Like Marist, Westminster should roll to a title, scoring in the 80's. Private schools should do well including GAC, Wesleyan and Lovett. 1A Private may be closely contested with the contenders being OLM, Holy Innocents, Landmark, ACS and ELCA. I've not paid much attention to A Public, but as 90% of their marks/times come from Area/Sectionals we know the performances are legit and doing a Virtual Meet on MileSplit is pretty accurate in their case...With that being said, Marion County and Gordon Lee are the faves to take the 1st ever A Public title. Georgia Military Prep, Commerce and Jenkins County are all capable of ascending the Podium.
